Multi Currency Converter
Convert one amount into many currencies at once in a sortable table.
What is a multi currency converter?
A regular converter handles one pair at a time. A multi currency converter takes a single amount and converts it into a whole list of currencies at once. It is the quickest way to see what a price, salary or budget looks like around the world, or to prepare a price list for customers in several countries.
The tool starts with a useful list that includes the euro, British pound, Indian rupee, Japanese yen, Australian and Canadian dollars, UAE dirham and Chinese yuan. You can remove any of them and add others from more than 150 supported currencies. Your list is remembered in this browser, so it is ready next time you visit.
How to use it
- Enter an amount and choose the currency it is in.
- Remove currencies you do not need with the small cross button on each row.
- Pick a currency in the Add a currency box and press Add to include it.
- Click a column heading to sort by currency code, converted amount or rate. Click again to reverse the order.
- Press Copy as text to paste the list into a message, or download it as a CSV file for a spreadsheet.
Features
- Live mid-market rates from European Central Bank data, with a wider open feed for other currencies.
- Sortable table that shows the converted amount and the rate for one unit.
- Saved list of your favourite currencies, kept only in your own browser.
- Copy and CSV export for invoices, quotes and reports.
- Phone friendly: the table scrolls sideways on small screens instead of breaking the layout.
Who finds it useful?
Online sellers use it to set prices for different markets. Freelancers check what an hourly rate is worth to clients abroad. Travellers planning a trip through several countries can see a daily budget in each local currency. Finance and HR teams use it to compare salaries or expenses reported in different currencies. Students and teachers use it to explore how currencies relate to each other, and anyone receiving money from abroad can check what a payment should be worth before it arrives.
Tips
Sort by amount to see quickly which currencies have the largest or smallest units. Remember that a large number does not mean a currency is weak in any practical sense; it often just reflects how the currency is denominated. When you share converted prices, include the date shown under the table, because exchange rates change every working day and your figures will drift over time.
